The Power Team

I really enjoyed reading the story "The Power Team". I have known about them for awhile but this is my first time actually reading about them. I like what they are about and the purpose of what they do. I think it is cool how they use what they do such as breaking the cuffs as a representation of breaking the chains of the devil. They do not do this for show but to help people realize their God given potential. I look up to these kinds of guys because they are good role models and I am sure that many others look up to them as well even the kids who are about to make a bad mistake like drugs or alcohol. I try to do the right thing all the time. I am a Christian myself and I feel that I can relate to what these guys mean when they talk and perform. I am glad that they do what they do. They really make a difference.

Plague of Tics

I originally thought that the story was going to be about tics, as in insects. I found that I was wrong once I started reading the story. I found this story to be kind of boring probably because I always hear about OCD and now I have to actually read about it. I read it anyway and I guess it wasn't so bad. I do not have OCD so I do not know what it is like and how dificult it must be to stat focused and complete tasks. I do feel sorry for the people who have OCD. Like the child in the story, it took him too long to get home because his OCD kept him held up. Another tic he had was wanting to lick the light switch. I thought this was pretty gross. If I had OCD I would try my best not to lick things which are not edible. I do not see how even with OCD a person would think that they had to lick a light switch like the kid did. Anyway, I realize how blessed I am to be able to do what I can and not to have OCD.
