It appears that plagiarism is an issue and a major one among students in school and college. Honestly I have copied a sentence or two once before when I needed something good. But since those high school days I have written everything on my own. I prefer to use my own writing because it is the right thing to do and I enjoy writing because I always come up with something good when I put my mind to it. It is time consuming but the outcome is great. I have always enjoyed writing. Sometimes it can be not as fun depending on my mood or the topic but in most cases I have found it to be alright. Even the thought of being finished with your piece can be refreshing. Writing is in fact an essential part of education and everyday life.
I found this article to be helpful, keeping me informed of how serious plagiarism is and how often it is used. The article mentioned that many of the students who get caught performing plagiarism claim that they didn't know that they were doing something wrong. Now that deal is mostly their fault for not listening to previous teachers or people telling them it was wrong before they committed the crime. Sometimes it just takes a persons fall to let them know they should stand on their own two feet.
I am sure that there are adults, many adults who plagiarize too. You think because they are adults that that would stop them from doing it but the fact is that they are lazy or just too careless to write their own work. As for me I will do my best to inform people to do their own writing and maybe help them. I hope the rate of plagiarism decreases in time.

Introduction to my research topic
Topics that I have considered for my research topic are post secondary education for students with Autism, Autism disorder, learning support students and life skills students. I am considering these topics because I enjoy helping these kinds of people and I have helped many students in high school who have these disabilities and I feel this is what I should do with my life.
Post secondary education for students with Autism is basically preparing the student with Autism for college or some form of school or education after high school and even helping them through college as well. These students will need a lot of accommodations and special help along their way through school and college. This consists of extra time for completing tests or work, note takers or a personal assistant to read tests to them and help them when they need it.
Autism is a developmental disorder that usually appears between birth and 3 years of age. This disorder affects the brain from developing normally in social and communication skills. There are no known causes and no known cures for this disorder. There may be a combination of factors which lead to autism. Difficulties for the child may include pretend play, social interactions and verbal and nonverbal communications. Those affected by this disorder need more time and patients given to them and require many special needs.
Learning Support is helping students with minor disabilities in such areas in school such as mathematics, reading, writing and grammar. The key part in teaching learning support children is that we find out what it is that they are having trouble in and we make some accommodations and to the best of the teachers ability, teach the kids what we can as good and as thorough as we can.
Life Skills of special education students is helping those with developmental disabilities, learning disabilities so severe for day-to-day living and those with high functioning Autism or Autistic tendencies, or those with Asperger's disorder. Life Skills are basically skills that apply to everyday life (skills such as money management, hygiene, and shopping for groceries).

Interview article
The article my interviewee recomended is very helpful for a special education major. He supported me with an article that gives a lot of information on education for students with autism. This article talks about postsecondary education of students with autism. These students need a lot of support and special needs such as accommodations, quiet places to take tests, more time for tests and they have different learning styles. Throughout school the students will need people to look upon and rely on such as aids, teachers or even students for that matter. Students can really help and I know because I have been there and helped. I know that I had a difference in the student. Through the transition from secondary to postsecondary school a students biggest need is a constant helper, one that will be right by their side at all times.

Wasted Time
I personally dislike using computers and have a hard time doing anything even sort of basic like responding to e-mail, texting, reading on computers, in fact reading this article hurt my eyes when trying to focus on the point of the article. There was an incredible amount of icons, advertisments or pop-ups during my time reading this article and the article was the only page up on my computer.
Introduction
Hello, my name is Lakota Ridinger. I am a student at IUP and am enrolled in research writing 202 with many
classmates and a cool teacher. The purpose of my blog is to state my opinion and in no way offend any person in the class, but to get the most out of this class and to hopefully make new friends not just another enemy.
